Bailarina

This work captures the precarious equilibrium of a performing body under the influence of acoustic resonance. The ballerina is a living entity performing a perpetual dance of balance, smiling even as her form is distorted by the violent authority of the music. The spheres act as counterweights, representing the intentional balance required to maintain order amidst the vibrating chaos of creation.

The Collection

The Deformations series is a collection of illustrations that explores the literal and metaphorical distortion of forms caused by sound vibration. In these works, performing figures are visually reshaped or dissolved by the kinetic intensity of the sound they inhabit.
