About this work

This Pasillo from Ecuador was created in 2002 as an exercise in orchestration. It is a symphonic adaptation of the first pasillo composed for the piano. The piece aims to capture the vibrant sounds of traditional village celebrations, while also incorporating meditative melodies and passages of tension to tell the story of my life. Through the use of different colors and sounds within the orchestra, this composition successfully emulates the spirit of popular music.

The Collection

My Ecuatorian-style piano music is a reinvention of the traditional elements to be more introverted, more me. My life story is represented in this collection.
